WHAT COMES AFTER THE PRE?
As you can imagine, our mail deliverers and office staff have been very busy! Thanks to everyone who completed their Preliminary Round Entries and got them in on time.
We have had a blast opening your PRE’s and seeing all of your great ideas as our office staff processed your entries for judging. We know that our TOYchallenge judges are going to be very impressed by the exciting, innovative, and well-presented ideas we have seen.
Notification of Advancement to Nationals
Just a reminder, we will be notifying teams about the Nationals following the judging of the Preliminary Round Entries. Notification will be via email in mid-March. All entries are judged twice before selecting teams to be invited to Nationals.
Moving forward
Now is a good time to review the Coach Handbook. Keep working on your toy or game, and keep fundraising for Nationals! Now is not the time to stop working while waiting to hear if your team is invited to Nationals. If you review the TOYchallenge 2008 timeline, http://www.sallyridescience.com/toychallenge/kids/timeline, you’ll see that there is not enough time to wait and finish a great entry in time. An enormous part of the TOYchallenge experience is working as a team on a prototype, a valuable experience whether a team makes it to Nationals or not. We wish each team the best of luck!
