What to expect at Nationals
Coaches may post questions or comments regarding the National competition. If you have any suggestions for other teams or the TOYchallenge staff, please post them here. Also, please post any questions you have regarding the presentations, venue, schedule, or judging process.
We will send out the time allotted to each team in a TOYtimes, so stay tuned. I would plan for anywhere between 6-8 minutes. The judges question and answer portion will be included in the time allowed, so each team must prepare their presentation to end early to accommodate this.
What time does it start and what time is it finished? Will we be receiving a schedule? Is this truly a one day event?
Yes, the 2008 Nationals (both East and West Coast) are one day events. They will start roughly 8am and go until the judges have deliberated and the awards ceremony ends. As of right now we do not have a set schedule for the Nationals because we have to get all of the team confirmations (the form is up online and due April 14th). Then we will know know how many teams will be in attendance and we can create a rough schedule of events.
How long will we have to present our toy/game to the judges? Will questions from the judges be included in the allotted time slot?
